Ahhh - where to start
Last week an ad popped up on my Facebook feed for some product aimed to enhance curly hair.
I looked at it and watched a related video and my curiosity was peeked.
I've always been a curly girl.
However, at some point around age 5 or so, my curls became sleek baby blond hair. Then, in 3rd grade, tempted by the idea of a perm I got one from my girl scout troop leader . . . ever since then my curls returned.
BUT - I never knew how to take care of them, what products to use, and so I experimented with all sorts of things with my hair. Short hair cuts, longer hair, straightened, curled, wash and go, etc. Of recent I've been flat-iron curling my longer hair and after a recent haircut felt like my hair was limp and lifeless, and my curls were not bouncing back when I didn't style and let it air dry. Time for a change.
So, here I go; why not embrace my natural hair tendencies and make my hair healthier in the process.. Trial and error with the Curly Girl Method.
